The Evolution of my First Planted Tank

I started Simple, with gravel, bog wood and some cheap plants from the Local fish Store...

I made a few changes to some plants and a few months later, my underwter garen was growing well.  Plants in this picture include Rotala indica, Crypt Walkeri lutea, Sagittaria subulata, and Anubias nana.



Here are a few of the inhabitants of the tank:



Another month of Growth:









I decided the Dwarf Sagittaria in my foreground wasn't spreading the way I wanted it to. Instead it was just growing taller.  I replaced the foregound with Crypt Wendtii.

I also split my Anubias.


I had to move the Crypt Walkeri lutea to the back as it got HUGE.


I placed a Tiger Lotus in its place...

Traded out the Germans for some Apistos
